About

Charm is developed by Knitware, in San Francisco, California.

Way back in 2006 I wrote a widget for Apple's macOS Dashboard called Twitgit, which in turns out was one of the first Twitter client apps. It's been nearly 15 years and I find myself coming back around doing a not dissimilar thing — I guess this whole Twitter thing might've worked out?

Charm started when I worked for Twitter — as an exercise to learn Swift, iOS, and Twitter Kit. Charm makes substantial use of these tools. In the end it grew into something that seemed useful enough to share, making something out of a Twitter feature that I have a lot of love for. In the years since, thousands of people have used Charm to curate Tweets, tell stories, and more. Twitter themselves went on to develop a first-class “Bookmarks” feature, too.

If you've got any questions, bug reports, suggestions or feature requests, please Tweet to @collectcharm, or check out the support site.

I really hope that Charm helps you do something new, fun, useful, or some combination thereof. Thanks!
